An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to join a growing Customer Support and Services function, supporting the delivery of complex engineering programmes. This role will be responsible for leading and delivering ILS activities for future customers, ensuring robust support solutions are developed from the earliest stages of the product lifecycle. You will play a key role in influencing system design, shaping through-life support strategies, and ensuring customers receive effective and sustainable support solutions throughout the life of the product.
Working within a highly collaborative engineering environment, you will engage with a broad range of stakeholders, including customers, project teams, engineering functions and external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support strategies and plans in line with customer and contractual requirements.
- Manage ILS activities across the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to manufacture, entry into service and in-service support.
- Develop and maintain Through-Life Support policies and strategies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant ASD S-Series standards and defence industry requirements.
- Oversee Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), maintenance task analysis, spares modelling and provisioning activities.
- Manage support equipment requirements and delivery.
- Coordinate training, technical publications and documentation activities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and key stakeholders on all ILS-related matters.
- Support bid and proposal activities, including cost estimation, planning and risk assessment.
- Identify, manage and mitigate ILS risks, assumptions and dependencies.
- Lead and mentor ILS practitioners across projects and programmes.
- Proven experience within an Integrated Logistics Support, Supportability Engineering or Through-Life Support environment.
- A broad engineering background, ideally supported by a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
- Strong understanding of ILS principles and their practical application across the product lifecycle.
- Experience working within defence, aerospace, maritime, military or other highly regulated engineering sectors.
- Working knowledge of ASD S-Series standards, including: S1000D, S2000M, S3000L, S4000P, S5000F.
- Experience of Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), maintenance planning, support equipment, provisioning and technical documentation.
- Ability to influence multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting bids, proposals and customer-facing activities.
- Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
