Responsibilities

  • Conduct integration testing of ATA 28 (Fuel Systems) and ATA 32 (Landing Gear) aircraft systems as part of an on-site engineering team in Filton.
  • Prepare for and support flight test activities, including planning, instrumentation checks, and test execution.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and structured technical flight test reports.
  • Perform data analysis on test results, including statistical assessments, signal processing, and data visualisation.
  • Diagnose issues, support fault-finding efforts, and assist with root-cause analysis.
  • Collaborate proactively with engineering, test operations, and stakeholder teams to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced, time-critical environment with shifting priorities.
  • Learn and apply new tools, techniques, and methodologies to support evolving test requirements.

Required Experience

  • Experience with aircraft systems or aerospace engineering environments.
  • Previous involvement in testing, validation, verification, or data-driven engineering work.
  • Hands-on experience with technical reporting and analysing engineering datasets.
  • Background in diagnostic or fault-finding activities.
  • Exposure to flight test, system integration testing, or similar environments (advantageous but not mandatory).

Required Skills

  • Solid understanding of aircraft systems; familiarity with ATA 28/32 preferred but not essential.
  • Capacity to learn new processes and in-house developed tools.
  • Ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills for data handling and analysis.
  • Proficient technical report writing with attention to accuracy and clarity.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in statistics, Fourier transforms, and plotting.
  • Proficiency in Python or programming language for data processing and automation is a plus.
