Embedded Software Engineer required for long term contract assignment based onsite, Bristol
Skillset/experience required:
- Significant experience of developing and debugging Real time Software applications using C++.
- Considerable experience of Rhapsody UML or other model-driven development tool.
- Extensive experience in developing functional and integration tests as well as simulation and hardware testing.
- Proven experience of developing and testing software to requirements and ICD's.
- Competent with MS Office tools/DOORS, for reviewing and updating technical documentation.
- Working understanding of configuration management tools such as RTC/EWM.
- Knowledge of Python / Ada / FreeRTOS would be highly beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Development on Linux of Embedded Real-Time software using Rhapsody & C++ in a multi-threaded Application to software requirements & ICDs.
- Writing unit/functional tests and conduct integration testing with the target hardware.
- Adhering to the agreed Project Planning and Project Quality processes.
- Use JIRA for project management and issue tracking
- The role will involve working within a lab environment running software on target hardware.
