Contract Databricks Engineer-Outside IR359/12 months-2/3 days on site in Manchester
We're looking for an experienced Databricks Data Engineer to join a fast-paced data team on an initial contract basis.
You'll play a key role in developing and improving data solutions within Databricks, helping deliver reliable, high-quality data across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
- Build, develop and optimise data pipelines within Databricks.
- Ingest and transform data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain scalable data models and ETL/ELT processes.
- Improve data quality, performance and reliability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Troubleshoot existing pipelines and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with data, technology and business teams to deliver projects.
What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience.
- Excellent SQL and Python skills.
- Solid data engineering and data warehousing experience.
- Experience working with cloud data platforms.
- A proactive, delivery-focused approach and the ability to hit the ground running.
