The Role and Company:

I am looking for a driven and experienced Data Science Manager to join a large global brand headquartered in the West Midlands. As the Data Science Manager, you will lead a high performing team while remaining hands-on to deliver projects, build AI models, code and transform data into clear and actionable insights. This will be a hybrid role, requiring 1-2 days a week in the West Midlands head office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of driven Data Scientists, enabling them to develop while continuing to drive high impact work across the organisation.
  • Build advanced analytics and AI solutions using machine learning, statistical modelling, forecasting, and simulation techniques to solve complex, real world challenges.
  • Maximise the use of data by bringing together information from multiple sources and formats, creating robust datasets to inspire innovation.
  • Drive and deliver projects that span the entire business alongside global teams.

Experience required:

  • Proven experience in a Data Science leadership position with a strong track record of leading and developing a team of Data Scientists.
  • Must possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills and be confident working with senior leaders, end users and colleagues alike.
  • Must have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business insights and recommendations.
  • Proven experience with varying Data Science techniques across statistics, machine learning, and GenAI coupled with strong programming skills in Python and SQL are essential.
  • Any experience working within highly regulated environments is preferred but not essential.
