Salary: £35,000 - 40,000 per year
Requirements
- Previous experience in a field or travelling IT support role
- Practical field or multi-site IT support experience
- Good grounding in hardware and networking, including confidence troubleshooting switches, access points and Wi‑Fi
- Experience supporting rollouts or installations is valuable
- Approachable communication style and confidence supporting colleagues with different levels of technical knowledge
- Reliable ticket updates, progress communication and follow‑through
- Full driving licence
Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day IT support across a regional network of operational sites
- Plan and adapt site visits, project work and support requests, including occasional travel beyond the Midlands
- Troubleshoot issues involving Wi‑Fi, handheld devices, Windows devices, Microsoft 365, Intune, Apple devices, local applications and networking environments using Meraki and UniFi
- Support rollouts, upgrades and improvements, including Intune deployment and Windows 10/11 compliance work
- Assess sites, recommend improvements and oversee third‑party installations
- Coordinate with suppliers and keep colleagues updated on progress
- Take ownership of local IT issues and follow them through to resolution

We are supporting a large, established business seeking a trusted IT presence across its Midlands sites. The role is approximately 60% day‑to‑day support and 40% project work, with support from a wider technical team and senior project delivery engineers. It is a permanent, 40‑hour‑per‑week position, Monday to Friday, with regular travel across the Midlands and occasional wider UK travel. Out‑of‑hours work is occasional, with time off in lieu when required. The package is £40,000, a company car or approximately £5,000 car allowance, plus benefits.
