Rate: Β£250 to Β£350 per day (Inside IR35)

Looking for an Oracle Fusion contract where you can take ownership of payroll delivery during a major transformation programme?
Akkodis is excited to be supporting a large public sector organisation as it enters a crucial stage of its Oracle Fusion implementation.
This an excellent opportunity for a PayrollLead to play a key role in payroll testing, validation, go-live readiness, and post-implementation hyper care. Your expertise will contribute towards a high-profile programme at a critical point in its delivery and help ensure a smooth transition into a new Oracle Fusion environment.

Your Impact
- Lead payroll testing and validation activities within Oracle Fusion.
- Ensure payroll processes, calculations, and outputs are accurately configured and functioning as expected.
- Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Investigate, manage, and resolve payroll-related defects and issues.
- Work closely with payroll, HR, project, and technical teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
- Support business readiness activities ahead of go-live.
- Provide leadership during hypercare and post-go-live support.
- Act as the payroll subject matter expert across the programme.
Who Is This Role For?
We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong experience in payroll operations and payroll processes.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Payroll.
- Experience supporting payroll system implementations, upgrades, or transformation programmes.
- Strong testing and defect management experience.
- The ability to engage and influence stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within complex programme environments.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within local government or the wider public sector.
- Knowledge of Local Government Pension Schemes (LGPS).
- Experience supporting Oracle Fusion go-live and hypercare activities.
- Previous experience acting as a Payroll Lead, Payroll SME, or Payroll Manager within a transformation programme.
