We’re partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation that’s looking to significantly improve production output, reduce lead times, and unlock capacity that data says should be achievable, but currently isn’t. They’re seeking an ERP Transformation Manager (Outside IR35) to lead a high-impact transformation across manufacturing and assembly planning. This is a hands-on, influential role where your expertise will directly translate into measurable improvements in efficiency, delivery performance, and revenue.
The Role
- Assess current manufacturing and assembly planning processes, identify root causes of performance gaps, and lead the implementation of improved planning, MRP, and production control practices.
- Diagnose gaps between ERP capacity plans and actual production performance.
- Identify bottlenecks and constraints across procurement, production, and assembly.
- Optimize MRP settings, BOMs, routings, inventory policies, and planning parameters.
- Improve demand forecasting, master scheduling, and shop-floor control.
- Implement best-practice methodologies (Lean, Theory of Constraints, CI).
- Define and track KPIs such as OTIF, lead time, inventory turns, and schedule adherence.
- Lead cross-functional workshops, training, and change initiatives.
- Deliver clear reporting, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- 8–10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, planning, or production scheduling.
- Strong hands-on expertise with MRP/ERP systems and planning optimisation.
- Proven track record improving throughput, lead times, and delivery performance.
- Pragmatic, data-driven, and delivery-focused mindset.
If you’re motivated by fixing broken planning systems, driving measurable results, and leaving a lasting operational impact, we’d love to talk.
