Until now, IT infrastructure and operations have been managed alongside broader tech and product responsibilities.
We're now looking for a dedicated IT Manager to run infrastructure, security, and day-to-day operations across every Akkar location, onsite and offsite, and to bring AI and automation into how those systems work.
This is a hands-on, practical role rather than a leadership one.
You'll be the person who keeps Akkar's people equipped, connected, and secure wherever they're working from, and who looks for smarter, more automated ways of doing it.
We'd like someone commercially minded, who thinks about cost, usage, and return as much as uptime.
You'll need to be happy getting your hands dirty.
One moment you'll be resetting a password or swapping a laptop, the next you'll be sitting in a planning conversation about how we automate a process or roll out a new system.
A roll-your-sleeves-up, can-do attitude matters more than job titles here: nothing is beneath the role and nothing is too big to get involved in, from 1st-line support through to the more strategic questions.
On strategy, you'll contribute rather than set it.
Direction is agreed with the Finance Director and CEO; your job is to bring the options, costs, risks, and recommendations to those conversations, then deliver what's agreed.
