Job Summary
Reporting to the VP of Product, we are seeking a proactive and strategic Product Manager to join our Product Management team. Prioritised on managing the Cisco BroadWorks (BWKS) and Cisco Webex Calling (WxC) integration product lines, the role will also incorporate managing other associated products’ related projects, such as the integration of various 3rd party platforms.
You will play a pivotal role in aligning your assigned product lines with Akixi’s overall product vision and strategy. Working closely with the VP of Product, and collaborating with the CRM Specialist Product Manager, to ensure seamless integration of CRM products into the wider product vision. This role is part of the Product Management team and involves managing products that are already in the market, as well as from time to time, new products transitioning from the Innovation team.
The Product Manager will also take ownership of identifying opportunities to introduce value-added services or products within their product lines, independently of the Innovation team. Additionally, you will work with Product Owners to translate product strategies into deliverables, oversee documentation and maintain alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the roadmap, strategy and performance of assigned product lines, prioritising the Cisco BroadWorks and Webex Calling integration product lines.
- Oversee and coordinate other related products and projects, such as the integration of various third-party platforms.
- Align assigned product lines with Akixi’s overall product vision and strategy.
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Product and the CRM Specialist Product Manager to ensure seamless integration of CRM products into the broader product vision.
- Manage related products that are already in the market, as well as occasionally take on new products transitioning from the Innovation team.
- Identify and own opportunities to introduce value-added services or products within assigned integration product lines, independently of the Innovation team.
- Work with Product Owners to translate product strategies into actionable deliverables for the engineering team.
- Oversee and ensure the creation and maintenance of product documentation.
- Maintain alignment of product development and management with overall business goals and objectives.
- Maintain related vendor accreditation and partner programmes for related integration product lines.
Delivery and Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with the VP of Product to refine and execute product strategies for assigned product lines.
- Partner with Product Owners to prioritise and translate product requirements into actionable deliverables, ensuring effective collaboration with engineering teams via the Product Owners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer success, to deliver cohesive and impactful product experiences.
- Collaborate directly with partners and end users to gather insights into market requirements, explore real-world use cases and gain a deep understanding of how the product is utilised.
Product Documentation and Communication
- Develop and maintain high-quality product documentation, including roadmaps, feature specifications and user guides.
- Clearly and effectively communicate product updates, changes, and future plans to internal and external stakeholders.
Product Performance and Optimisation
- Monitor and analyse key product performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Conduct customer feedback sessions and market research to inform data-driven product decisions.
- Ensure assigned product lines remain competitive and aligned with customer and market needs.
Adding Value-Added Services
- Proactively identify and develop new value-added services or products to enhance assigned product lines without requiring involvement from the Innovation team.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop and deliver these enhancements.
Supporting the Product Team
- Contribute to the success of the Product Management team by sharing insights, strategies and lessons learned.
- Seamlessly transition new product lines from the Innovation team into BAU, maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Required:
- Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in SaaS, telecom, or technology industries.
- 3 years’ experience of product lifecycle management and Agile principles.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality product documentation.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Cisco BroadWorks and Webex Calling platforms.
- Experience managing multiple products in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strategic Alignment: Ability to collaborate closely with the VP of Product to deliver on the broader product vision.
- Collaboration: Skilled at working with Product Owners and cross-functional teams.
