Akita is seeking a results-driven Tender Specialist with proven B2B sales experience and a strong track record in tender writing, ideally within the IT or technology sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strategic mind and a sharp pen, capable of turning complex solutions into compelling commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation of high-quality tenders, quotes, proposals, pitches, and service level agreements that align with Akita’s brand and value proposition.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities, using a consultative approach to convert prospects into sales.
  • Manage end-to-end tender submissions across public and private sector opportunities, ensuring alignment with compliance, technical, and formatting standards.
  • Utilise and manage tender portals effectively, ensuring timely submissions and accurate documentation for a variety of frameworks and procurement systems.
  • Meet with clients and prospects to promote Akita’s IT services, articulating ROI and tailored benefits.
  • Support the Sales Director on strategic projects and act as delegate when required.
  • Handle inbound sales enquiries, qualifying leads and converting them into actionable meetings and proposals.
  • Provide cover for fellow consultants during periods of holiday or sickness to ensure continuity in business development.
  • Significant experience in tender writing, with demonstrable success in securing contracts, particularly in public sector procurement.
  • A strong background in B2B sales, ideally within the IT or managed services industry.
  • Understanding of procurement frameworks and portal systems, with hands-on experience in their use.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical or service-based propositions clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience working in or with IT MSPs, vendors, or technology consultancies.
  • Familiarity with NHS, government, or education sector tenders.
  • Understanding of GDPR, Cyber Essentials, and other IT compliance standards.
