Akiş Enerji is a growing Solar EPC company delivering utility-scale solar projects across the UK. We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our London-based team and lead new solar projects from development through to energisation.
About the Role
You will take full ownership of solar projects across the entire lifecycle — from site identification, planning, and permitting through to construction management and final commissioning. This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of our UK growth strategy.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end project management of utility-scale solar PV projects
- Leading planning applications, grid connection, and DNO coordination
- Managing EPC contracts, procurement, and subcontractor performance
- Acting as Principal Contractor and/or Principal Designer under CDM 2015
- Budget control, programme management, and risk mitigation
- Stakeholder management — developers, investors, local authorities, and DNOs
- Ensuring HSE compliance across all project phases
- Reporting progress to senior leadership and investors
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (essential)
- 8+ years of project management experience in solar or renewable energy
- Proven track record on UK utility-scale solar EPC projects
- Strong knowledge of UK planning system, grid connection process, and CDM 2015
- SMSTS, NEBOSH or equivalent H&S certification (preferred)
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and contract management skills
- No UK visa sponsorship required — must have the right to work in the UK
- Based in or willing to relocate to London
