The Service Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the operational delivery of the Confident Futures service, ensuring participants receive high-quality, personalised and holistic support that enables them to improve their health, wellbeing, confidence and progression towards employment at a pace that is right for them.
The post holder will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver an exceptional participant experience, ensuring the service consistently achieves Contract Service Standards (CSSs), contractual output measures, quality standards and operational performance expectations. They will foster a culture built on compassion, inclusion, continuous improvement and accountability, ensuring delivery reflects the Social Model of Disability and AKG Health's person-centred approach.
Working closely with the Operations Director, Clinical Governance Lead and DWP stakeholders, the Service Delivery Manager will oversee service mobilisation, participant engagement, workforce performance, safeguarding, quality assurance, contractual compliance and partnership working to ensure the successful delivery of the Confident Futures programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the Confident Futures service, ensuring high-quality, person-centred support.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture.
- Manage operational resources, caseloads and workforce capacity.
- Drive continuous improvement and service innovation.
- Ensure delivery meets all Contract Service Standards (CSSs), contractual outputs and performance targets.
- Monitor contractual timescales, participant engagement and service quality.
- Ensure accurate recording of evidence to support audit and payment requirements.
- Lead contract reviews, audits and performance improvement activity.
- Lead, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary team through regular supervision, coaching and performance management.
- Promote staff wellbeing, learning and continuous professional development.
- Ensure participants receive timely, personalised and coordinated support throughout their journey.
- Monitor engagement and implement actions to maximise participation and positive outcomes.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, safeguarding and clinical governance.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and manage operational risks effectively.
- Build effective relationships with DWP, healthcare providers, employers, community organisations and other stakeholders.
- Represent AKG Health professionally at meetings, reviews and partnership forums.
- Monitor service performance using management information and outcome data.
- Provide accurate reporting to support operational decision-making, contractual compliance and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams within health, employability, wellbeing or public service settings.
- Experience of leading operational delivery against contractual performance measures and quality standards.
- Strong understanding of supporting individuals with physical health conditions, mental health conditions and disabilities.
- Experience of safeguarding, risk management and service quality assurance.
- Experience of managing performance, developing staff and leading continuous improvement.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of working collaboratively across organisations.
- Strong understanding of the Social Model of Disability and person-centred approaches.
- Experience of analysing performance data and using management information to drive service improvements.
