The Inclusive Employment Advisor is responsible for preparing both participants and employers for successful, sustainable employment by improving understanding of health, disability, wellbeing and workplace inclusion. Working across the Confident Futures programme, the postholder will educate employers, challenge misconceptions surrounding health and disability, and promote inclusive workplace practices that reduce barriers to employment. They will also support participants to build confidence, understand workplace expectations and prepare for sustainable employment through personalised guidance, employer engagement activities and practical work preparation. The role acts as the bridge between participants and employers, ensuring individuals are equipped for the workplace while helping employers develop healthier, more inclusive working environments that support long-term employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with employers across the Contract Package Area to promote inclusive recruitment and workplace wellbeing.
- Deliver employer education sessions covering health, disability, neurodiversity, mental health, reasonable adjustments and workplace inclusion.
- Prepare participants for employment through work preparation, confidence building and workplace education.
- Support participants to understand disclosure, workplace expectations, reasonable adjustments and maintaining health in work.
- Promote Disability Confident principles and inclusive employment practices.
- Develop employer resources, workshops and educational materials.
- Work alongside Health and Employment Specialists to prepare participants for employment opportunities.
- Organise employer engagement events, workplace visits and information sessions.
- Promote positive employer attitudes towards recruiting people with health conditions and disabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of employer engagement activity and participant outcomes.
Essential/Desirable Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience working with employers, businesses or employer networks.
- Knowledge of disability inclusion, workplace wellbeing and reasonable adjustments.
- Understanding of the Social Model of Disability.
- Experience delivering presentations, workshops or training.
- Knowledge of employment legislation relating to disability and equality.
- Experience within employability, health or public sector services.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and communication skills.
- Ability to travel across the CPA to engage employers and attend networking events.
