Deliver tailored employability training and support learners in developing job-seeking skills. Provide one-to-one coaching and group sessions while maintaining accurate records of learner progress. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
With a passion for supporting individuals to overcome personal barriers to employment, the Employability Support Tutor will manage a schedule of workshops, providing support through group sessions and occasional 1:1 support. The Tutor will motivate and engage participants who need additional support with acquiring employment and accessing job opportunities. You will be empowered to plan and deliver innovative and meaningful support that positively impacts participant labour market engagement, applying a range of learning methodologies to suit individual needs.
A key part of the role is to effectively manage workshop planning in line with internal and external quality requirements. You will provide feedback, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed of progress. Accurate records will be maintained to ensure funding that is invoiced is correct and can be evidenced sufficiently. A passion for training and a belief in lifelong learning will be a key driver when supporting people through their job seeking journey.

Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and Learning Delivery: Plan and implement effective support workshops based on the assigned participants’ needs. Work with site managers to ensure that courses on offer meet local requirements and are promoted. Support employment coaches to maximise participation.
- Quality Assurance: Participate in internal and external audits or observations to ensure teaching and learning quality meets organisational standards. Maintain own Continuous Professional Development, ensuring knowledge is current and in-line with sector specific requirements.
- Safeguarding and Learner Support: Adhere to safeguarding and health and safety policies, promoting equality, diversity and inclusion. Provide pastoral support and guidance, addressing barriers to learning such as mental health, wellbeing, or personal challenges.
- Administration and Compliance: Deliver a high quality, highly engaging and flexible service that meets and exceeds participant and employer expectations. Review and develop training materials to enable innovative and purposeful support.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience of delivering employability support and accredited courses up to Level 2.
- A passion for learning and development and supporting others to start their employment journey.
- Effective communication skills; written and verbal.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines.

- An Assessor and/or teaching qualification.
- Knowledge of DWP funding arrangements and ESFA funding rules.
