We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Consultant Liaison - Business Development Manager to join our team within the private healthcare sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new and enhancing existing relationships with the consultants in order to drive sustainable growth. The role is primarily based at Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital in Aylesbury.
The Business Development Lead is responsible for acting as the primary liaison for Consultants across the group and for developing and retaining referrals from these Consultants. The role is responsible for both the appropriate recruitment of new Consultants and the ongoing maintenance of relationships with Consultants who already have a practice at Akessa Healthcare.
The appointee is responsible for new consultant onboarding and annual practising privileges renewals across all sites. Once appointed you will be provided with induction, guidance, and training but previous experience in a similar role, working in a private hospital is required.

Key Accountabilities for business development:- Develop and implement business development strategy initiatives with consultants and key strategic partners focusing on creating and enhancing patient pathways.
- Collaborate with consultants and their secretaries to build and maintain a relationship, ensuring continuous engagement and service optimisation.
- Actively pursue new referral opportunities to increase patient inflow.
- Take a leadership role in overseeing the CRM system, utilising it as a tool for daily monitoring and analysis of business development activities.
- Foster a strong working relationship with the administration and medical secretary teams to ensure cohesive and collaborative operations.
- Support the development and execution of initiatives and events to engage our network.
- Work in collaboration with the GP liaison and patient pathway teams, ensuring efficient handling of patient enquiries and maximisation of conversion rates.
- Work in collaboration with the marketing team.
