Senior Manager - Projects

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.

What will you be doing?

• Ensure that the delivery team are focused on HSSE and quality aspects and within the budgets & forecasts
• Leading competent teams and actively participate in competence development
• Strengthen and train project team using our Project Execution Model (PEM) by creating loyalty and an understanding of its importance to maximize recovery and efficiency of customer assets.
• Manage engineering work processes for studies, procurement, fabrication, execution, installation and completion within contractual T&C's.
• Manage the execution process towards safe, maintainable and operable design solutions
• Establish and secure follow-up of verification activities to ensure quality in the SOW
• Overall responsible for the project resources, recruitment, onboarding and performance of all activities
• Secure that health, safety, security and environmental aspects are thoroughly considered, planned, implemented and followed up
• Report progress on activities and deliverables
• Proactively engage with key stakeholders across locations.
• Map and implement improvement opportunities in the project to remove waste.
• Ensure that PEM milestone reviews are performed for critical milestones with focus on Execution Key Deliverables and Management Key Deliverables
• Report internally to Project Director and to client in accordance with contract expectations.
• Whilst the role is based in the Aberdeen office, there will be an expectation to visit other Aker Solutions offices when required.

We think you should have:

• Engineering background is preferred
• Excellent leadership and team work capabilities
• Good communication and collaboration skills, open, honest and sharing
• Strong commercial focus and ability to understand technical challenges
• Capable of providing support and coordination for solving complex multidiscipline aspects
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Degree in Engineering or Management
• 5 – 10 years' experience from project engineering or project management
