We are looking for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in our Aberdeen (AIBP) office.
What will you be doing?
- Required activities to facilitate smooth and timely delivery of assigned Mechanical Engineering scopes to acceptable company standards.
- Progress reporting as required for assigned scopes.
- Compliance with policy, process, and regulations.
- Project awareness of risks and mitigating actions.
- Promotion of compliance with company Health & Safety standards.
- Lead / participate in meetings as required to deliver the contracted workscope.
- Category C scopes from define (FEED) phase through to execution and handover.
- Preparation of mechanical specifications, datasheets, etc.
- Mechanical package management.
- Perform all technical duties in a highly competent and efficient manner.
We think you should have:
- Degree qualified, Chartered Engineer.
- Significant engineering design experience in the offshore oil & gas industry including brownfield modification projects.
- Front End, FEED and EPC experience.
- Previous experience in leadership/supervisory position; ability to manage and plan own work scope and that of assigned engineers/designers.
- Experience of multiple office execution/workshare/home working and collaboration with multi-cultural teams.
- Experience in preparation of technical specifications, data sheets, requisitions and technical assessment of supplier bids.
- Experience in Supplier Package Management / Document Review of mechanical equipment and packages.
- Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing of mechanical equipment and packages.
- Knowledge of static mechanical equipment including vessel and filtration equipment packages.
- Knowledge of mechanical rotating equipment including process and utility pump packages.
- Sound knowledge of the relevant design codes for the design of systems and equipment on offshore installations.
- Offshore project experience.
