Akeneo is the Product Experience (PX) company and global leader in Product Information Management (PIM), creating a world where every product interaction is an experience that guides consumers and professionals to the best purchase, anytime, anywhere. We’re all about experience - from the best-in-class product we build to the inspiring environment we create for our employees. You’ll grow in a dynamic environment where your ideas and expertise will make an impact from day one. Our flexible work model empowers you to thrive, balancing professional success with personal fulfilment. At Akeneo, you’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values open communication, shared successes, and meaningful relationships.
The Supplier Data Manager (SDM) team has full ownership over the Akeneo Supplier Data Manager product. Our mission is to unify, streamline, and accelerate the collaboration between retailers, distributors and their suppliers by transforming fragmented, inconsistent product data into a trusted, scalable foundation for commerce — enabling faster time-to-market, improved product experience, and stronger supplier relationships.
What You Will Deliver In The Role
- Drive end-to-end development of new features and services, from discovery to delivery, and close the loop by measuring adoption, validating customer impact, and iterating based on outcomes.
- Work directly with customers on a weekly basis to understand real-world challenges, gather feedback, and validate team hypotheses.
- Take technical ownership of key areas of the SDM product — shaping how suppliers share, validate, and enrich product data across distributed ecosystems.
- Design and build full-stack solutions using technologies like Python and TypeScript, with exposure to infrastructure tools such as GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Datadog.
- Continuously challenge and refine our product vision, helping the team align short-term delivery with long-term goals in a fast-evolving, competitive market.
- Collaborate with the team and other cross-functional groups working on adjacent parts of the product experience, ensuring alignment across related product areas.
- Balance strategic thinking with pragmatic execution, making informed trade-offs that maximize customer value while maintaining a scalable, maintainable codebase.
What Will Set You Up For Success At Akeneo
- A customer-centric mindset that prioritises understanding user needs and business impact over technical perfection.
- A strong hands-on expertise in full-stack engineering (8+ years), utilising both Python and Typescript, strong experience with modern frontend framework (ideally React).
- A pragmatic approach to software ownership, with fluency in DevOps practices, microservice design, and cloud-native architecture. You build scalable systems and monitor them in production - we have a “Built It, Own It” approach.
- A mentorship mentality — you elevate those around you by sharing knowledge, coaching others, and leading by example.
- Stellar communication skills and an ability to “read the room” and adjust your vocabulary to suit both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A disciplined, test-driven approach, with quality, reliability, and maintainability built in from the first line of code.
You don’t need to tick every box. We strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. If you are excited about this opportunity but your experience is slightly different, we still want to hear from you!
