Akeneo is the Product Experience (PX) company and global leader in Product Information Management (PIM), creating a world where every product interaction is an experience that guides consumers and professionals to the best purchase, anytime, anywhere. We are all about experience - from the best-in‐class product we build to the inspiring environment we create for our employees. You will grow in a dynamic environment where your ideas and expertise will make an impact from day one. Our flexible work model empowers you to thrive, balancing professional success with personal fulfilment. At Akeneo, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values open communication, shared successes, and meaningful relationships.

The team and areas of ownership: Step into the future of product syndication with Akeneo Activation. We are not just solving today’s challenges; we are building the next-generation platform for connecting product information with the world’s diverse sales destinations. Akeneo Activation intelligently transforms and distributes your Product Information Management (PIM) data, ensuring it is perfectly optimized for retailers, marketplaces, and beyond. The Activation team is at the heart of this innovation, leveraging cutting‐edge serverless and cloud‐native technologies within GCP to create an infinitely scalable and adaptable platform. We thrive on tackling complex integration requirements and building elegant solutions that empower businesses to thrive in any digital marketplace. Be part of the team that is redefining how products reach their customers globally.

What you will deliver in this role: Shape the future of a massive serverless cloud environment. We are not just building software; we are architecting scalable solutions on GCP, leveraging the cutting edge of the Javascript ecosystem – think Node.js, React, and Next.js – to create impactful experiences. Streamline the mapping of large datasets to empower business users to obtain their data from our Product Information Management (PIM) system and transform this to the formats expected by various retailers and marketplaces globally. Evolve the merger engine of Akeneo Activation to ensure that our PIM data merges with external data in such a way that it is compliant with the complexities of regulation in any given destination. Mentor and guide fellow engineers, sharing your deep knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning across our talented team. Your impact will extend far beyond your individual contributions. Working cross‐functionally with a variety of stakeholders across multiple product lines.

What we will set you up for success: Demonstrable advanced‐level proficiency across Full‐Stack Engineering within a large‐scale serverless Cloud‐environment, ideally utilising technologies from the JavaScript ecosystem (we use Node, React, and Next) and GCP. As a Senior Software Engineer here, you won’t just code; you will own it. Our "Built It, Own It" philosophy means you will be integral to the entire lifecycle, from crafting elegant microservices and robust cloud architectures to implementing deployment and observability best practices. You will be empowered to make a real difference. Communication is key to our collaborative success. You will be a vital bridge, effortlessly translating complex technical concepts for both technical peers and non‐technical stakeholders. Your ability to connect and influence will be crucial as we continue to innovate. Quality isn’t an afterthought; it’s ingrained in your DNA. You will champion a test‐driven approach, ensuring the reliability and robustness of everything we build. Your commitment to excellence will be instrumental in maintaining our high standards. More than just a technologist, you are a customer advocate. You understand that technology serves a purpose, and you are driven by a desire to deeply understand user needs and deliver solutions that have a tangible business impact. You don’t need to tick every box. We strongly encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply. If you are excited about this opportunity but your experience is slightly different, we still want to hear from you!
