Covering our 3 sector approach, covering the Energy, Civil Engineering and Residential Sectors, AKELA Construction now has vacancies for Sub Agents to complement our dynamic delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the construction strategy and input into the construction programme.
- Represent AKELA at site and client meetings and contribute accordingly.
- Preparation of pre-commencement documentation such as Construction Phase Plan, Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans.
- Carry out take offs and prepare procurement and design deliverable schedules.
- Liaise with the Project Manager and Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget.
- Manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of Site and Section Engineers.
- Assist with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ).
- Assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans and contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
Experience & Requirements
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
- Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
- Previous experience in highways, civils and drainage work is essential.
- Good team skills.
- Must hold a full UK driver’s license.
- SMSTS.
- Valid CSCS card.
- First Aid, TWC / TWC, NRSWA are desirable but not essential.
Location
Predominantly Central Belt, Scotland with the opportunity to work throughout Scotland.
