We are seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Manager to join our Electrical Team in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role within a business renowned for delivering high‑quality electrical products, both locally and nationally.
As an Electrical Contract Manager, you'll report directly to the Directors and take full ownership of multiple projects—covering traditional and Design & Build schemes. You'll be responsible for planning, procurement, delivery, financial performance and client satisfaction, ensuring safe and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the delivery of electrical projects from pre‑construction through to handover
- Manage project planning, resourcing, budgets and timelines
- Conduct site visits, surveys, client meetings, inspections and handovers
- Provide guidance, support, and leadership to project teams, monitoring performance and development
- Oversee procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring cost efficiency
- Manage client relationships and handle expectations
- Liaise with Design, Estimating, and Subcontract teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Drive performance improvements and promote continuous development within the electrical team
- Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety, statutory testing, and SELECT industry standards
- Maintain accurate project documentation and compliance registers
- Identify and maximise opportunities for extra works and revenue growth
- Core electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds)
- Ideally, HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
- Proven experience as an Electrical Contract Manager or Project Manager
- Strong background in Health & Safety management, including CDM Regulations
- Commercially astute with excellent financial and project management skills
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver projects successfully under pressure
