Overview of Role and Responsibilities
- Leadership and management of supply tendering processes, to ensure that Akari obtains value for money and high quality services/supplies.
- End to end management of such processes, from definition of requirement, sourcing, tender analysis, negotiation and implementation.
- Continuous search for optimum supply relationships, in order to mitigate supply chain risk.
- Performance management of key suppliers utilising feedback from Home Managers.
- Management of Procurement projects between supplier and end customer (our Care Homes).
- Provision of Procurement expertise in cross functional projects – the role will span procurement activity across a wide range of direct and indirect cost categories.
- Management of Supplier and contractor compliance process.
- New supplier set ups - end to end process with supplier and finance colleagues.
- Working closely with Operations Finance Business partner to analyse spend data to inform Procurement activity.
- Maintain contract and key supplier listings with most up to date information, and ensure budget holders and stakeholders have the correct information.
- Line management of Procurement Administrator.

- Proven analytical skills backed up by excellent commercial acumen.

- Highly organised/structured approach, with the ability to co-ordinate a large number of tasks simultaneously and to tight deadlines.
