They are seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to join their team in Whitley Bay and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the home.

The Deputy Manager role is highly diverse and challenging, but also deeply rewarding. You will work closely with the Home Manager and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent nursing and residential care, effective communication, financial controls, and HR management. You will demonstrate strong leadership, flexibility, and a caring nature to support the vulnerable adults in your care. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge while making a positive difference in the lives of older people.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the smooth, efficient running of the home.
  • Providing excellent nursing and residential care.
  • Maintaining budgetary and financial controls.
  • Being personally accountable for Human Resources.
  • Promoting engaging and creative marketing initiatives.
  • Guiding and coaching colleagues in training and development.
  • Giving undivided attention and care to all areas of the home.

What we require from you:

  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience of working within the health care sector.
  • Management / Leadership experience (essential) and qualification (desirable).
  • Hold an NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with an active PIN.
  • A caring nature with the ability to give everyone a personal approach.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changes at short notice.
  • Work well under pressure without negative impact to those around you.
  • Warm, approachable, and engaging persona.
  • Respect everyone, treating others as you would expect to be treated.
  • Resilient and adaptable to differing needs of colleagues and residents.
