Akamai powers and protects life online as a leader in edge computing, cloud security, and application delivery. We enable the world's largest enterprises to deliver secure, high-performing digital experiences. Our SDR team partners with both the Field and Inside Sales organizations. We guide the early stages of the sales cycle, assisting with new customer acquisition.

As a Channel SDR, you will generate qualified pipeline through Akamai's partner ecosystem. This role sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, and channel, activating partners to drive net-new opportunities in the CER Region.

As a Channel SDR, you will be responsible for:

  • Driving partner-led pipeline through outbound prospecting and account mapping
  • Executing co-sell motions with Channel Managers and Account Executives
  • Supporting partner campaigns, events, and follow-up on leads
  • Conducting account research using intent data and partner insights
  • Qualifying opportunities and ensuring successful handoff to sales
  • Developing early stage deal registrations to create velocity in channel pipeline

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have outbound prospecting experience or be able to demonstrate relevant, equivalent sales experience as an SDR/BDR/Inside Sales
  • Have experience identifying business needs through information-gathering to pre-qualify opportunities
  • Be comfortable speaking with decision makers via various mediums (social, email, phone and video)
  • Have familiarity with Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn, 6sense
  • Enjoy working in a team and have a desire to grow in the organization
  • Be fluent in German and English
