Our Cloud Technology Group's Compute division, formerly Linode, consists of collaborative, inclusive, and creative teams. We develop applications and services to empower our customers. Our mission is to accelerate innovation by making cloud computing simple, scalable, affordable, and accessible to all. We design, develop, test and maintain products that run on our IaaS platform. We operate at an unmatched scale.
With your Kubernetes expertise, you can design and amplify the scale and performance of Akamai's Object Storage Product to meet customer demands. You will be responsible for evolving the scale, performance, security, and capabilities of our managed Kubernetes platform. You will provide a simple and seamless experience developers have come to expect from Linode.
Responsibilities:
- Developing features and product enhancements
- Advocating and encouraging cloud-native technologies and architectural approaches
- Contributing towards building the roadmap for stable and scalable cloud-native offerings
- Enabling a simple and seamless way for our customers to deploy and operate their Kubernetes clusters
- Developing best practices, knowledge sharing, and mentoring
Qualifications:
- Have deep experience building Kubernetes Platform Clusters with scale and Cloud Native technologies
- Have advanced knowledge of Kubernetes concepts such as Operator creation, Cluster API, and Container Network Interfaces
- Have experience with Container Runtimes (e.g. docker, containers, etc)
- Demonstrate significant experience with Linux, Go, Python
