Senior Account Manager, Public Sector (Data & AI)

City of London | Hybrid role (4 days in the office) | Very competitive salary plus commission

This is a senior sales position in the public sector team of a fast‑growing, PE‑backed tech talent company. This is their most successful and fastest‑growing area.

You will build commercial relationships with the government, agencies, and the defence. Your work will help public sector organisations address two main talent challenges: attracting new, trained tech talent through a graduate consulting model and upskilling their current teams in Data and AI.

The offer is truly two‑sided. First, the company recruits high‑calibre graduates from diverse backgrounds, trains them in intensive technical bootcamps, and places them as consultants with major UK organisations. Second, they work directly with existing client teams to build Data and AI skills in current staff. This is a strong solution for public sector buyers who need to modernise but have limited headcount budgets.

This means you need a real understanding of Data and AI. While you do not need deep technical expertise, you should be fluent enough to have credible conversations with Heads of Technology, Digital Transformation leads, and procurement teams.

What we’re looking for

  • Mid‑to‑senior B2B sales experience with a strong new business track record
  • A real understanding of Data and AI, including pipelines, data debt, and tooling, so you can be credible with technical buyers
  • Public sector experience, ideally selling Data or AI services into government, or strong adjacent commercial experience.
  • Self‑directed, arriving with a plan rather than just a list of questions
