Account Manager

Account Manager

Full-Time On-site
A

Our client is a City of London-based, PE-backed technology consultancy operating at the forefront of AI transformation. They're one of the UK's leading names and are expanding their Commercial team with an Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise private sector clients.

The role

This is primarily an account growth seat within "people sales": helping clients navigate headcount and budget constraints, and delivering tech capability through staff augmentation and statement-of-work engagements. You'll own an existing portfolio, build senior relationships, and expand the accounts you hold. You'll also be expected to bring in new logos, but the main focus is depth over volume: getting embedded, understanding client needs, and growing revenue from within.

Key responsibilities:

  • Owning and growing a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise private sector accounts
  • Building relationships with senior tech leaders: CTOs, Heads of Technology / AI
  • Identifying new opportunities for tech projects, upskilling, or senior tech leadership deployment
  • Running the full commercial cycle on new business where it arises
  • Acting as the trusted point of contact for your clients, not just an account handler

Who we're looking for

  • A track record in B2B account management within IT consulting, staff augmentation, strategic team/project delivery, hire-train-deploy (HTD), or recruitment
  • Someone who enjoys the long game: building trust and growing accounts over time
  • Comfortable picking up the phone and opening new conversations when the opportunity's there
  • Organised, commercially sharp, and genuinely curious about your clients' businesses
  • Able to attend the office from Monday to Thursday (Friday WFH)

Who we're NOT looking for

  • Someone who has only sold software or products

What's on offer

  • Β£50,000 base salary, plus Β£100,000 OTE, uncapped with accelerators
  • A clear progression path as the practice scales
  • Generous annual leave, rising with length of service, plus an additional day off for your birthday
  • Private medical insurance, with the option to add partners and family at additional cost
  • Enhanced death in service cover
  • Strong pension contribution via salary sacrifice, plus the option to make additional contributions
  • A confidential, 24/7 employee assistance programme
  • Additional lifestyle benefits including mortgage advice, a season ticket loan, and a cycle to work scheme
