M&E Estimator Construction Wakefield £55,000 – £60,000 Are you a detail-driven estimator with a passion for delivering precise, competitive tenders? Whether you\’re just starting out or bring years of experience, we’re looking for an  Mechanical & E lectrical Estimator  ready to play a key role in our growing pipeline of commercial refurbishment and new installation projects. You\’ll work across sectors including  healthcare, commercial, and industrial , estimating packages from  £50k to £2m . While your focus will be on electrical estimating, you’ll also contribute to broader M&E packages with the backing of a knowledgeable and collaborative team. What You’ll Be Doing Prepare accurate estimates for electrical and M&E works Analyse drawings, specs, and tender documents to understand project needs Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes Attend site visits and client meetings to support bid preparation Participate in value engineering and post-tender negotiations Provide budget prices from performance specs on design & build schemes Submit clear, well-documented estimates for review Collaborate closely with design and delivery teams during handover Keep databases and estimating records updated and organised What You’ll Bring Experience in M&E estimating (we welcome applicants at all levels) Understanding of commercial, healthcare, or industrial sectors Awareness of wider M&E coordination on larger schemes Familiarity with design & build projects and interpreting performance specs Strong attention to detail and confident with numbers Comfortable attending sites and liaising with clients Excellent communication and teamwork skills Experience using estimating software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Why Join Us?
