Aka Recruitment are excited to be working with a fantastic client of ours to bring you this exciting Credit Controller position for a busy automotive business based in Clay Cross. Working Monday to Friday, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and growing company, salary basic starts at £29,120.
Job Duties Include:
- Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring payments are received within agreed credit terms.
- Proactively chase outstanding debts via telephone, email and written correspondence whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.
- Allocate customer payments accurately and reconcile accounts.
- Resolve invoice queries efficiently by liaising with customers, dealerships and internal departments.
- Monitor customer credit limits and identify potential credit risks.
- Prepare and issue account statements, reminders and final demands where required.
- Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all account information is up to date.
- Produce regular aged debt reports and provide updates to senior management.
- Assist with month-end processes including account reconciliations and reporting.
- Work closely with the Sales, Service and Accounts departments to resolve payment disputes promptly.
- Ensure all credit control activities comply with company policies and financial procedures.
- Support the wider accounts team with additional administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Credit Controller role.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- Good knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Confident dealing with customers at all levels whilst maintaining professionalism.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with dealer management systems or accounting software would be advantageous.
