AKA Recruitment are working with a fantastic client of ours in the Wakefield area looking for a full-time Contracts Manager to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical works potentially coming from an Electrician Background and looking to further their career in an office based environment.
The Contracts Manager is responsible for supporting the Electrical Team in the day-to-day operations of the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the contract management process and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
β’ Work closely with the business to monitor pipeline business and support each contract implementation project from initial sales meeting to contract sign off to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience.
β’ Represent the Contracts Department in customer, supplier, and internal meetings, participating in negotiations and discussions with customers and suppliers as required, ensuring contractual obligations are understood by the rest of the business and provide support to ensure that those obligations are delivered and performed.
β’ Support with managing the full portfolio of contracts from:
β’ Initiation β assisting with review of any public or private sector tender bid process or mini- competitions, ensuring the appropriate documentation is used. Reviewing all proposals before they are released to the customers.
β’ Agreement β drafting or reviewing contracts, supplier agreements etc
β’ Supplier Management β support Account Managers in ensuring supplier adherence to contracts during their lifetime.
β’ Variation, Renewal and Expiration β ensuring that contracts are managed in an orderly way through to expiration, managing variation, exits, renewals or subsequent tenders.
β’ Work to agreed policies to ensure the company is not exposed to unnecessary contractual and/or commercial risk.
β’ Manage and develop team to ensure high performance and a positive culture, training them in best practice for document production.
β’ Maintain the function as the hub of information and develop best practice procedures for contract management and administration.
β’ Manage the flow of information and continuity of service between Contracts, Sales, Procurement and Administration teams
β’ Monitor all work in progress, manage all contractual records, logs, and databases, ensuring they are accurate
β’ Assist with major direct projects
β’ Proactively contribute to the companyβs success by actively seeking to improve working processes.
β’ Proof-read all documents to ensure they are accurate, well written and professional formatted before they are sent to Customers.
β’ With the support of the team, maintain effective and accurate filing systems.
β’ Attend training as required to keep up to date with company procedures.
β’ Promote a positive culture by creating an interest and enthusiasm for quality in all activities and set a good example.

City and Guilds/Apprenticeship qualified – Electrical bias preferred. (Level 3)

A a Contract Manager candidate you will be conducting a range of duties within a thriving and busy business. This role is ideally suited to a candidate that has been within an electrical environment completing a range of duties. This particular position uses a range of internal systems therefore current knowledge on Electrical systems is a must!
