Up to £30K plus generous bonus scheme depending on experience

Aka Recruitment are currently looking for a Business Development Executive who has a strong proven track record in sales to join our team in Wakefield. Working hours cover Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, the option for hybrid working is also available. Salary is dependent on experience with a generous bonus structure available on top.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and referrals
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscape
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and close deals with new clients, ensuring mutually beneficial partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive customer retention and upselling opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of products/services to new clients
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to represent the company and generate leads
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, leads, and opportunities in the company\’s CRM system
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, and market insights to senior management
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and potential threats
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of sales processes, tools, and best practices
  • Mentor and support junior sales team members as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns and materials that support business development efforts
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to help shape the company\’s growth strategy

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development roles (minimum 3-5 years of experience)
  • Strong proficiency in sales techniques, negotiation and closing deals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently
