Aka Recruitment are excited to be working with a fantastic client of ours to bring you this exciting position for a busy and growing clothing company. Working Tuesday to Saturday 9am to 5.30pm, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the production department, ensuring customer orders are produced efficiently, accurately and to the highest quality standards. Job Duties Include:

  • Lead, motivate and develop the garment printing production team to maximise efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee the daily production of printed garments including t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, tote bags, workwear and promotional clothing.
  • Schedule and prioritise workloads to ensure customer deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Operate and supervise garment printing equipment including DTF, DTG, screen printing and heat press machinery (depending on experience).
  • Carry out quality control inspections throughout the production process to maintain exceptional print standards.
  • Monitor stock levels of garments, inks, transfer films, consumables and packaging materials.
  • Troubleshoot production and equipment issues to minimise downtime and maintain workflow.
  • Ensure machinery is maintained, cleaned and operated safely in accordance with company procedures.
  • Work closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure artwork, garment specifications and production requirements are met.
  • Drive continuous improvements within the production department to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Ensure Health & Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
  • Train and support new and existing members of the production team.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within a Garment Printing Supervisor, Production Supervisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of garment decoration methods including DTF, DTG, screen printing, heat transfer and vinyl application.
  • Experience managing a busy production environment and meeting customer deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to troubleshoot production issues and maintain workflow under pressure.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Knowledge of embroidery production would be advantageous but is not essential.
