Job Duties Include:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to retail, trade and workshop customers both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Identify and supply the correct vehicle parts using manufacturer or aftermarket electronic parts catalogues.
- Process customer orders accurately whilst maximising sales and profitability through upselling parts and accessories where appropriate.
- Support the Sales Office Manager / Branch Manager in achieving departmental sales targets and maintaining high operational standards.
- Receive and check deliveries from suppliers and warehouse, ensuring all stock is handled and stored in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock levels through effective stock control, inventory checks and efficient parts management.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with trade customers, identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts and generate new business.
- Ensure the parts department is clean, well organised and presented to a high standard at all times.
- Work in accordance with Health & Safety, security procedures and dealership policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing manufacturer and company training, personal development and performance reviews to continuously improve product knowledge and customer service.
- Assist with driving duties and parts deliveries when required (subject to licence).
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the Parts Department and wider business.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor, Trade Counter Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry.
- Good knowledge of automotive vehicle parts and accessories.
- Experience using manufacturer or aftermarket electronic parts catalogues (EPC).
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Good organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and stock accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Positive team player with a proactive and professional attitude.
- Basic IT skills and experience using dealer management systems would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred.
