Aka Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a new client of ours to recruit for this excellent Vehicle Technician opportunity based in Keighley. This position offers the chance to become part of a busy, thriving workshop within a respected and established independent business that genuinely values its employees. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm, with no weekends involved. In return, you'll receive a competitive basic salary of £40,000, with an additional bonus also available on top, alongside genuine job security and a positive working environment.
Job Duties Include:
- Perform servicing, repairs and routine maintenance on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment.
- Replace and repair vehicle components in line with manufacturer guidelines.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and health checks, identifying any additional work required.
- Complete all repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Undertake repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, clutches, timing belts and engine work.
- Complete all workshop paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure equipment is kept in good working order.
- Follow company procedures and Health & Safety regulations at all times.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer vehicles are completed on schedule.
- Consistently deliver excellent quality of work and contribute towards a productive workshop environment.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Diagnostic Technician.
- Level 2 Technicians with a keeness to learn are also encouraged to apply
- Confident fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
- Able to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
- Own set of tools required.
- Full UK Driving Licence with a maximum of six penalty points.
- Reliable, professional approach with excellent attention to detail.
