Aka Recruitment are excited to be working with a fantastic client of ours to bring you this exciting Assistant Aftersales Manager position for a busy main dealership based in Erdington. Working Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm with alternate Saturdays on a rota basis, you will be rewarded with a competitive basic salary starting from £35,600 and an attractive bonus structure, offering excellent earning potential and career progression opportunities.

Job Duties Include:

  • Support the Aftersales Manager in the day-to-day running of the Service and Parts departments
  • Assist in leading, motivating and developing the aftersales team to maximise performance and profitability
  • Help drive departmental productivity, efficiency and customer satisfaction targets
  • Monitor workshop loading and ensure effective allocation of work to technicians
  • Support the management of parts stock levels and inventory controls
  • Handle customer concerns and ensure issues are resolved professionally and promptly
  • Assist with recruitment, training and performance reviews for aftersales staff
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards, FCA regulations and dealership procedures
  • Produce and analyse departmental reports, identifying areas for improvement
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and manufacturer representatives
  • Support the implementation of aftersales strategies to increase revenue and customer retention

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within an Assistant Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, Workshop Controller or senior aftersales role in the motor trade
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving departmental targets
  • Good understanding of workshop operations, service processes and parts functions
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dealership environment
  • Full UK Driving Licence
