Vehicle Technician position based in
Leeds . Working within a thriving workshop, you will be joining a forward-thinking and well-established family-run business . Working hours are
Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm , along with
1 in 3 Saturdays 8.30am to 12.30pm , paid at overtime. You will be rewarded with a basic salary starting at £32,000k alongside excellent working conditions and a high earning potential available on top.
Job Duties Include
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment and carry out repairs to the highest industry standards.
- Remove and refit mechanical and electrical components efficiently and accurately.
- Complete vehicle health checks and inspections, identifying any additional work required.
- Ensure all servicing and repairs are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and dealership standards.
- Carry out routine maintenance including brakes, suspension, clutches, cambelts and engine repairs.
- Accurately complete all job cards and service documentation.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Ensure all tools and workshop equipment are maintained and used correctly.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices at all times.
- Work closely with the Service Advisors and Workshop Controller to ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timescales.
- Deliver a high standard of workmanship while contributing positively to the workshop team.
Requirements
- Qualified to Level 3 NVQ , City & Guilds or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
- MOT Testing Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy workshop environment.
- Own tools are essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than six penalty points.
- Positive attitude with excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering quality workmanship.
