AKA is a London-based boutique PR and Communications agency specialising in hospitality, travel, food, drink and wellness. We work with premium and luxury brands across the UK and internationally, partnering closely with founders, GMs and global marketing teams.

This is an Account Executive role at the foundation of the agency. You will support account teams across press office, media relations, reporting and events while learning how premium hospitality PR actually works, day-to-day, under real pressure and real deadlines. This role suits someone organised, composed, detail-driven and genuinely interested in the worlds we operate in — not just the idea of PR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing client coverage reports, trackers and media clippings with accuracy and consistency
  • Supporting the account team across day-to-day press office activity
  • Drafting press releases, pitches and internal documents to brief-led standards
  • Handling journalist requests efficiently (imagery, fact sheets, pricing, availability)
  • Assisting with press trips, media visits and itineraries
  • Supporting the delivery of media events and hosted moments
  • Maintaining internal organisation, documentation and workflows

You will be trusted with responsibility early — accuracy and judgement matter.

What We’re Looking For

This role is detail-critical. If you don’t enjoy precision, this will not be the right fit. You should bring:

  • Excellent written English (faultless grammar, punctuation and spelling)
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • A calm, professional manner when dealing with journalists and clients
  • A genuine interest in hospitality, travel and lifestyle brands
  • An understanding of how media works (training is provided — curiosity is essential)
  • Confidence working on Mac systems and across shared digital tools

You will thrive here if you are:

  • Reliable under pressure
  • Comfortable taking direction and learning fast
  • Interested in the craft of PR, not just the idea of it
  • Polished, discreet and culturally aware

What This Role Is (And Isn’t)

This role is:

  • Structured
  • Fast-paced
  • Detail-led
  • Client-facing

This role is not:

  • Purely creative
  • Influencer-only
  • Social-media-led
  • A shortcut to seniority

Benefits

  • Hybrid working (Wednesdays & Fridays remote)
  • 32 days annual leave including bank holidays
  • Birthday holiday (for you or a loved one)
  • Additional holiday at 2 years’ service
  • Work-from-abroad opportunities after 3 years
  • Pension scheme after 3 months
  • Commission on new business introductions
  • Structured training, mentorship and development programme
  • Regular reviews and progression planning
  • Team socials, workshops and client experiences
  • Client perks across leading hospitality, wellness and travel brands
  • Pet-friendly Soho office
  • IT and remote-working support
