Fleet Manager

We’re Hiring: Fleet Manager – From £40k | Full-Time | Paisley

AK Vehicle Rental is Paisley’s favourite van hire company – family-run, proudly local, and known for our fast, friendly, cheeky service since 1989.

We’re looking for a Fleet Manager to take charge of keeping our fleet of vans roadworthy, legal, clean, and looking sharp. This is a hands-on, practical role in a busy depot where no two days are the same.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Organising servicing, MOTs, maintenance & road tax

• Managing vehicle damages & cosmetic repairs

• Keeping our vans looking smart (including decals)

• Handling breakdowns & vehicle off-road situations

• Buying parts & managing supplier accounts

• Prepping vans for sale & handling van sales

• Weekly mileage checks & long-term hire inspections

• Performing the role of Duty Manager every 2nd weekend (supporting the office & yard)

What we’re looking for:

✅ Experience in vehicle hire, fleet or transport

✅ Comfortable with the basics under a bonnet – not a mechanic, but must speak the language

✅ Very organised, calm under pressure & great with tech

✅ Team player who’s happy to muck in wherever needed

✅ A full UK driving licence

Salary: Starting at £40,000, negotiable if you bring serious experience and know-how.

Hours: Full-time, 2-week rotating pattern including weekend cover (max 2 half days every second weekend)
