Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with SMEs, sole traders, limited companies and local businesses.
- Build relationships with prospective clients, existing clients, referral partners and professional contacts.
- Promote the firm’s services, including accountancy, payroll, bookkeeping, tax compliance, business support and advisory services.
- Prepare proposals, fee quotations and client presentations based on each client’s needs.
- Support the Director with business growth, marketing activities, referral campaigns and client retention.
- Maintain a lead pipeline, follow up enquiries and report business development progress.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, client acquisition, sales or relationship management within professional services.
- Proven ability to build relationships with business owners, SMEs, referral partners and professional contacts.
- Good understanding of business, finance, accountancy, or related professional services.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Economics or a related subject.
- Strong communication, negotiation, proposal preparation and client relationship management skills.
- Good commercial awareness and ability to support growth in a small or medium-sized professional services firm.
