Azeem Accountants Ltd trading as AK Accountants is seeking a Business Development Manager.

Location: 562–564 Manchester Road, Bradford, BD5 7LR

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Working Hours: 37.5 to 38 hours per week

Salary Range: £54,000 to £60,000 per year, depending on experience and suitability

Reporting To: Director

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with SMEs, sole traders, limited companies and local businesses.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients, existing clients, referral partners and professional contacts.
  • Promote the firm’s services, including accountancy, payroll, bookkeeping, tax compliance, business support and advisory services.
  • Prepare proposals, fee quotations and client presentations based on each client’s needs.
  • Support the Director with business growth, marketing activities, referral campaigns and client retention.
  • Maintain a lead pipeline, follow up enquiries and report business development progress.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, client acquisition, sales or relationship management within professional services.
  • Proven ability to build relationships with business owners, SMEs, referral partners and professional contacts.
  • Good understanding of business, finance, accountancy, or related professional services.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Economics or a related subject.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, proposal preparation and client relationship management skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to support growth in a small or medium-sized professional services firm.
