Role Description
This is an on‑site, full‑time Slinger position based in Smethwick. The successful candidate will assist with the lifting and moving of materials and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with company and safety standards. Responsibilities include:
- Preparing loads for lifting
- Working closely with machine operators
- Securely attaching loads
- Ensuring proper load balance during operations
- Assisting in maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Qualifications
- Experience with safe slinging and rigging practices, including load securing and balance
- Familiarity with operating within industrial or construction environments and adhering to safety regulations
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with other team members
- Understanding of equipment maintenance and proactively identifying safety risks
- Valid certification or training in overhead crane and forklift is desirable
- Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Physical fitness and ability to handle materials in a demanding environment
