Our client is a large fabrication company servicing the Offshore industry from their busy North East facility. Due to recent projects won they now require a Maintenance Electrician to work across their site.
The Role
- Planned maintenance
- Reactive maintenance
- Improvement projects
- Legal compliance checks / activities
- Safety checks / activities
- Problem solving, root cause fix.
- Keeping records of work done and handing over work to other shifts
- Supporting the creation of maintenance plans and activities
The Person
- Apprenticeship or qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. apprenticeship as a mechanical technician or electrician.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Interpersonal and people-management skills
- Ability to understand a variety of engineering procedures and functions
- Able to certify electrical installations in buildings
- Able to run cables and test circuits.
- Team-working skills to liaise and work cooperatively with individuals at all levels
- Negotiation skills and the ability to persuade others
- Working at height is mandatory requirement.
- Training can be provided for MEWPs and cherry pickers if not qualified.
- Willingness to drive a forklift truck would be an advantage. Training can be provided.
- Willingness to alternate between day shift and late shift
