Our client is a leading steel fabricator servicing the offshore industry and due to recent projects won they now require an HSE Inspector for at least 6-8 months.
The Role
- To work alongside production & quality to get general ownership of the safety standards within the work area.
- Someone who can show innovation and bring new ideas into the organisation, who can make proposals and then act to implement those ideas.
- Hands-on role - you will be based in an office in a fabrication hall alongside the Supervisors.
- The aim is to change behaviours and build a culture around HSE.
- Refer non-compliance to HR if required.
- You will oversee the supervisors and the workforce from an HSE perspective.
- Liaise with the client, be involved in weekly joint client inspections, produce reports and action trackers.
- Incident investigation, writing investigation reports.
- Generally improve HSE standards and behaviours.
The Person
- Ideally have experience of policing HSE in a fabrication environment.
- NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum.
- Good experience of report writing.
- Qualified to at least HNC level.
