Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced
Mechanical Metal Polisher to join our manufacturing team.
The Role
Working within our production department, you will be responsible for producing high-quality finishes on bespoke stainless steel fabrications used within hygienic processing industries.
This is a hands-on role requiring excellent attention to detail, pride in workmanship and the ability to work to high quality standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Polish stainless steel fabrications to mirror, satin and dull finishes.
- Grind and blend welds to achieve smooth, hygienic finishes.
- Produce crack and crevice-free surface finishes.
- Remove scratches and surface imperfections.
- Operate polishing equipment, linishers, mops and grinding tools safely.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Work efficiently to production deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised working area.
- Support other manufacturing activities where required.
About You
We're looking for someone who has
- Previous experience as a Metal Polisher, Stainless Steel Polisher or Mechanical Polisher.
- Experience polishing stainless steel fabrications.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Good communication and teamworking skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude.
- A time-served engineering or polishing background is desirable.
- Working Hours
- 36 hours per week plus overtime.
- Overtime is regularly available and expected when production requirements dictate.
