The opportunity AJW Group are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our catering operations and provide an excellent service to all employees. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming food environment while helping to increase engagement across the team.
- Clean and sanitise all food preparation areas in line with hygiene standards.
- Wash and correctly store cooking appliances, utensils, cutting boards, and dishes.
- Assist with preparing ingredients, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping fruit, vegetables, meat, and poultry.
- Sweep and mop kitchen floors and wipe down kitchen walls.
- Unload delivered food supplies and ensure they are stored correctly.
- Organize and maintain food storage areas to ensure safe and efficient use.
- Transfer ingredients promptly from storage areas to the kitchen as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness across all catering facilities in line with food hygiene requirements.
- Collect and deliver items around the building when required by the business.
