AJ Renewables is one of Scotland's fastest-growing solar installation companies. We install premium solar panel systems for residential and commercial customers across Scotland — and following a record-breaking Q1, we're expanding our install operation.
The Role
As our install electrician, you'll work alongside our roofing team to deliver high-quality solar PV installations on domestic properties across Scotland. You'll be responsible for the electrical installation, commissioning, and sign-off of solar systems to MCS standards.
What you'll be doing:
- Installing solar PV systems including inverters, battery storage, and generation meters
- Carrying out electrical surveys and assessments prior to installation
- Commissioning and testing systems to MCS and DNO requirements
- Completing all relevant certification and paperwork accurately
- Working closely with our roofing team to deliver clean, professional installs
- Representing AJ Renewables with professionalism on every site
What we're looking for:
- Qualified electrician — 18th Edition BS 7671 wiring regulations essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- MCS solar PV installation experience preferred — or strong willingness to train
- Experience with battery storage systems (GivEnergy, Tesla Powerwall, EcoFlow) is a bonus
- Full UK driving licence — essential
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
