AJ Group are currently working with a leading construction business to appoint a Planner to focus on construction projects around Manchester
Duties and responsibilities
Responsible for:
- Develop Construction Stage Programme from Tender Stage Programme including design, procurement and construction phases.
- Prepare Histograms and S-Curves.
- Site visits to understand site works and develop programmes and reporting
- Engage with Internal Delivery Team / External supply chain for programme development
- Assist in Tender Planning including design, procurement and construction phases
- Assist Site Teams with programmes and progress reporting including the following:
- Construction / Contract programmes with critical path review.
- Planning section of project reports including S-Curve Earned Value reporting
- Last Planner assistance to Site Team
- Engagement with Surveyor on Procurement Schedules
- Short term programmes / Look Ahead Programmes / Package Programmes
- As-Built Programme development
- Potential Programme Revisions including Time Impact Analysis
Qualifications and experience
Qualifications:
- BSc. in Construction Management or Similar
Ability and knowledge of:
- Good working knowledge / experience of construction processes and practices
- Good communication skills – written and verbal
- Good understanding of construction various Forms of Contract
- Good working knowledge of planning software
- Knowledge of earned value reporting preferred – training will be provided as required.
- Knowledge of fit out projects preferred
