We are seeking an experienced and confident Risk Manager to join our Property Division on a 9-month maternity cover contract. This is a pivotal role supporting effective risk management across a complex and diverse estate and operational portfolio.
About the Role
The Risk Manager is responsible for maintaining and developing the Property Division’s Risk Register, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, appropriately owned, regularly reviewed, and escalated where required. Working closely with the Property Senior Leadership Team, the role supports informed decision-making across areas including:
- Infrastructure resilience
- Statutory compliance
- Fire and life safety
- Security
- Sustainability
- Major capital pressures
This is a highly visible role operating at senior leadership level, requiring both strategic oversight and hands-on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead risk deep dives on priority areas, ensuring clarity of exposure and mitigation
- Prepare and maintain risk scorecards and reporting dashboards
- Facilitate structured risk discussions with senior stakeholders
- Regularly update and refine the Property Risk Register
- Track, monitor, and constructively challenge open risk actions
- Prepare high-quality papers and reports for relevant committees
- Oversee business continuity and crisis management planning for the Property Division
About You
We are looking for an experienced risk, assurance, or governance professional who thrives in complex operational environments.
You will ideally bring:
- Proven experience in risk management, assurance, or governance roles
- Experience within estates, infrastructure, facilities, construction, or other large and complex organisations
- Strong stakeholder management skills and confidence operating at senior leadership level
