We are working with a reputable regional law firm to find a Risk Manager for their team in Hull. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risk, and supporting the firm’s continued commitment to excellence.
The firm is looking for an experienced risk and compliance professional with a strong understanding of legal practice standards and prior experience in a similar role. You’ll need a proactive approach, excellent problem-solving skills, and the confidence to advise on complex regulatory matters.
The responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring compliance with SRA standards
• Advising on regulatory standards and obligations, including conflicts and data protection
• Assisting the COLP in communications with the SRA and other external bodies
• Managing complaints, claims, and liaising with relevant authorities
• Handling Lexcel accreditation renewals and supporting documentation
• Maintaining and updating the firm’s risk registers
• Delivering training as required
• Reviewing engagement letters and terms of business
• Collaborating closely with the senior management
They are looking for candidates with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to build effective relationships across the firm.
